Natural Highs

I just got this forward in the email and normally I delete them super quick but I LOVE how this totally represents what this blog is about "FINDING JOY" in the journey... Here you go:

1. Falling in love.2. Laughing so hard your face hurts.3. A hot shower.4. No lines at the supermarket.5. A special glance.6. Getting mail.7. Taking a drive on a pretty road.8. Hearing your favorite song on the radio.9. Lying in bed listening to the rain outside.10. Hot towels fresh out of the dryer.11. Chocolate milkshake (vanilla or strawberry).12. A bubble bath.13. Giggling.15. The beach.16. Finding a 20 dollar bill in your coat from last winter.17. Laughing at yourself.18. Looking into your kids' eyes and knowing they Love you19. Midnight phone calls that last for hours.20. Running through sprinklers.21. Laughing for absolutely no reason at all.22. Having someone tell you that you're beautiful.23. Laughing at an inside joke with FRIENDS24. Accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about you.25. Waking up and realizing you still have a few hours left to sleep.26. Your first kiss (either the very first or with a new partner).27. Making new friends or spending time with old ones.28. Playing with a new puppy.29. Having someone play with your hair.30. Sweet dreams.31. Hot chocolate.32. Road trips with friends.33. Swinging on swings.34. Making eye contact with a cute stranger.35. Making chocolate chip cookies.36. Having your friends send you homemade cookies.37. Holding hands with someone you care about.38. Running into an old friend and realizing that some things (good or bad) never change.39. Watching the expression on someone's face as they open a much desired present from you.40. Watching the sunrise.41. Getting out of bed every morning and being grateful for another beautiful day.42. Knowing that somebody misses you.43. Getting a hug from someone you care about deeply.
44. Knowing you've done the right thing no matter what people think.

Now you should add some of your own!!

So much to do So little time.

Well my kiddos are off to a friends, to help me try and finish up the final things here at the house, but sometimes I just look around, and want to scream, there's so much to do - I decided to completely finish the upstairs tonight, and then, I'll only have the downstairs and the outside to do tomorrow. I'm hoping for good moving weather tomorrow, and I've got a few other things to do, but hopefully Laila will cooperate, and without the other two, I should be able to get a lot done, thanks Viviane!! I've only got a few boxes left, so hopefully I can fit the junk in!! Also, I went up to the house today and they had removed all of the subfloor, and had installed our shower, it looks so good!! I'm thrilled. I also ordered all of our appliances, ouches to the wallet! I can't believe the expense of everything that goes with a new house. I did my best to stay within my budget, and I did pretty good. The only real splurge was the fridge. It is SO BIG!! I'm excited about that! I also saw some sketches of my kitchen, and that's just as exciting. There's going to be a little desk area, and the cupboards are going to the sealing. So much more space! I'm hoping Josh is going to be able to do the move, he's going to be up all night. I guess at least he's had a good week's worth of sleep unlike us! That's it for now, keep checking back, and the house will be done, sooN!

Moving Mayhem

I guess I should focus on the important thing - the dream I've wanted for so long - I'm a homeowner. I find it so hard to look past the here and now to enjoy the possibilities ahead of us. I am just so overwhelmed with the packing, cleaning, sorting, etc., not to mention the normal stuff that continues on like laundry, dinner, and bathtime, oh and the bills, too! Wow is it a lot, I haven't even mentioned I'm a new mom! However, I have some amazing friends that are really helping out, and I do love to purge and today was my last garbage day, so I've really been working hard to throw out a bunch of stuff, and it just feels great!! We went to the dentist today (yes, I've managed to continue to do the things I need to for whatever reason things like this aren't postponed) it was alright news, Colson has a couple cavities, which is so wierd because the dentist just checked him six months ago, and didn't even have watches for anything. Oh well, I guess monitoring the brushing hasn't been happening like it should. I'll be working on that. Anyway, I really do need a recheck, and to focus on the thing that I'm most excited about - my new house. :) Happy Happy Joy Joy!!

By the way, here's our latest little one - and a surprise from one of those amazing friends... the pink entry when we came home from the hospital! (oh and focusing on the good things - this crappy entry to military housing, is the last of it!! YEAH!!)

Working on the Dream House

Well no after pictures yet, but here's a couple of during ones...

Blessing Day

Well yesterday Laila was blessed by her dad. It was a short and sweet blessing, just like her. It was great to have family here to help us all week, it's such a crazy time for us, and I enjoy special moments like these at church together. I'm starting to dread Josh's trip. But he'll be home before we know it. Laila's blessing said how she was lucky to be born to a family that would teach her the gospel and that if she lived by these teachings and precepts she would find happiness. Such a great thing to remember - Righteousness = Happiness.

Our Dream Home...

O.k. so if you're reading this I hope to finally have some after pictures of our first home, because it is crazy to think that we're moving in to this heap, and I'm almost embarassed to even have pictures of it. But, there's nothing like hard work, to make you feel appreciative for what you have. Josh and I entered into this adventure truly not knowing what we were getting into, but it's been painful and joyful all at the same time. We've grown so much during this process and learned even more. We are hoping this doesn't turn out to be a financial disaster, but, you never know, we at least left the world a little better than when we found it. :) Wish us luck on the biggest adventure we've had yet!
