Love this fun idea...

From the Pottery Barn - EXCEPT - it requires a photograph. Urgh!!

Otherwise I can picture all my kids stockings (cross-stitched by Grandma Cherri) hanging so beautifully, oh and I don't have a mantel. :)

Christmas Photo Shoot.

Set-Up = Locate and purchase perfect outfits, Decorate Tree, line tree with fabric to eliminate distracting elements, adjust lighting, wrap laundry basket with tinfoil to capture better lighting, charge camera, set up tripod, dress three children, pose children, begin picture taking.

Picture Taking - "Hold still, we'll take turns holding laila, look at the camera, don't squeeze Laila, Colson don't lean against the chair, hold still, say cheese, hold still, smile, Boo! Laila look at mommy, Boo!, Hallie look at me, don't look at Laila! Say cheese, hold still, No Hallie don't put your leg up, fine you can have a turn holding Laila, stop squeezing laila, Look at me, Colson stop leaning against the chair, where's the pacifier, HOLD STILL, Say CHeese, Boo! (baby voice) Laila look at mommy let me see you smile, Boo! HALLIE LOOK AT ME NOT LAILA!! Say cheese, hold still, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Scroll through pictures... Nope not one. This is why I stopped buying professional photos too much work, with no guarantee. Who says I have to have a perfect photo to wish everyone a Merry Christmas? I thought I'd share a few here! :)

Good Luck with your picture taking!

Found some Joy!

My blog is really supposed to be that place where I'm recording all that Joy I have (some days I have to look harder), but not this week...

Both now and then, I find joy in the dreams that soldiers fight for. I spent the day in Gettysburg and you kind of feel like you're standing on sacred ground! Did you know that the battleground was 24 square miles? Did you know the Gettysburg Address was only 14 sentences? The battle field is huge, and there are sporadic memorials found all over. We were listening to an audio tour that was amazing, we learned so much, and imagine we could have learned even more without the kiddos. Here's a few pics from our trip.

Crazy Gorgeous. That's what this Earth is. I find Joy in the beauty of this masterpiece. I've lived in Monterey, Colorado Springs, Maryland, Indiana, and been many other places but I always love to see somewhere new, and enjoy the variety.

I find joy regularly in Family, I believe family is the greatest joy. I'm missing my closest family member pretty badly these days. But, guess what, I'm SO BLESSED with tons of family that care about me, even if I'm FAR away. Thanks for making the trip, so the cousins could hang. (To protect the Identity of those in this Photo, the Names have been Changed!) Bob, Sue, Sandy, Joe

Yummy Goodies

Josh's famous caramels are such a treat, and since I was missing him, we made some! These are time consuming, difficult, yet so rewarding, isn't this a life lesson?

Who could not LOVE this holiday it's all about food and family, or in my case, food and friends. I have some amazing friends, that put up with my grumpy self, take time for my kids, and can I just say for a party of 20, there were FOURTEEN pies!!! Oh my heck Viviane went over the top, and the pic I have does not even include all the creme pies in the fridge!! Hope everyone found some joy in ther Thanksgiving!

Uh Oh.

I totally thought I could - but this is what actually happened. My totally rockin friend told me she was expecting by sending me her PEE test in the mail! I LOVED the idea I was laughing so hard, and I told her I was going to put it on my blog, and then it morphed into this crazy Idea to post it on my blog as if it was mine!! SO SORRY to those that might have freaked out a bit...

I did warn Josh before I did it!! And some people wondered if it was even possible, and technically it could be possible, but no fear, I am NOT expecting!! :)

Here's the note that came with it... SO FUNNY!

Here's some new Video of the kids!

By the way - I found my camera, now has anyone seen my keys??

Also - Please Note, Hallie's room was clean, BEFORE they started playing!

Veteran's Day

A friend posted something in Honor of Veteran's Day and I used to have a man in Uniform, he's traded that in for something else, but here's something I found. We have SO MANY friends coming and going. We love you all and wish for your safe return!

Here They Are...

My threesome! I love these kiddos. Sunday morning, Laila was waiting patiently on the floor while I was getting ready for church, then Hallie of course loves to share her blanket and cuddles next to her, just in time for Colson to show up too. I hope they have great relationships with each other when they get older, just like me! It's the relationship you have the longest that's for sure.

Better late than Never.

HE HE, here's another birthday wish! It was a bit of a challenge to get this one here, and it was so worth it! This friend totally loves me, (please note the Colts colors). Although, I'm so afraid to look this morning to see if we made it out of our embarassing display last night.... I must emphasize the Colts a little too much, because after the 4th interception, I went to bed to read, and FOUR phone calls later, I thought, how sweet for everyone to have sympathy for me. I guess it's time, to go check out the final score. Sigh.

EDIT: WHAT??? I just checked out the score, are you kidding me??? Why did I not stay up?? It sounds like we totally rallied, and then to have Vinatieri, miss a 29 yard field goal attempt??? Are you serious??? So Close, but that's what we were last week. Where is our heart?? It is so tough to watch them the year after the Super Bowl because they're just too hard to watch! We have to be able to FINISH it! Urgh.

Friends to Tag:
1. Not gonna Do it!

I'm IT!

I've been tagged by Emiliean. Don't get any ideas... I think I averaged 2 weeks to actually Do this:

Here's how you play: Once you have been tagged, you have to make a post with seven weird/random facts or habits about yourself. At the end choose seven people to be tagged, listing their names and why you chose them. Don't forget to leave the person you've tagged a comment ("You've been tagged!") and tell them to read your blog. You can't tag the person who tagged you.

1. I ran a half-marathon in Monterey CA. All hills, and yes I ran with a friend, so I have a witness. In all fairness, she literally pushed me up one of the hills, and smuggled water for me in her shorts, very clever... I'll explain another time.

2. I secretly dream of doing a back handspring, don't ask me why, I don't know... I've always wanted too, and there was a time in my life, I probably could have, just wasn't brave enough to try it. Who knows... maybe one day! HA!

3. I am not master of my tongue. I truly wish I had better control. I so often say things that just come out wrong, or things I shouldn't even think. I was in a Sunday lesson and someone talked about how it really doesn't matter if we say an expletive or "Oh, Bananas" the principle is to stay in control of your mouth. I have thought about that so often. Still not perfect. Anyway, this is probably something you all already know about me! :)

4. I enter online sweepstakes regularly, and have won once!! Some tag kit, that wasn't that cool, but if you wonder if anybody wins, they do. Here's a contest link for all you scrapbookers!

5. I have the Big H. That's for all my close buddies.

6. I once got a technical in a church basketball game, this was from my dad, and I was fouled out. Thanks Pops. please see #3 for further explanation.

7. I am just not that interesting to have seven things, sorry!!

I'm not tagging anyone, so no worries!

P.S. Emiliean I appreciate your sentiments regarding me, so SWEET! Not true, but nevertheless if I'm made aware of round 2, I will surely include you, TAKE CARE!!

Office Night, Baby!

I love office night, I will love it even more when Josh comes home, hey, I think that means, only 4 offices and 1 COLTS Thanksgiving Game thrown in the middle there, and Josh will be home! Sweet.

By the way, has anyone seen my Camera? I've been trying to get a self-portrait taken and I've looked in ALL of Hallie's hiding places! Urgh! I realized I never posted me wishing JOsh a Happy Birthday, oops! :) Maybe I'll find it!

Colbie Caillat

I'm so in love with acoustical guitar music - did I spell that right?? It must have started long ago with my dad, and how he used to play for us as little girls, actually he still plays for us when we're in town. He's a country boy, and I love that, but I found this totally fab new (or at least new to me!) artist Colbie Caillat. I have some of her songs on my playlist, It's so fun, love her voice, and the guitar, great stuff.

Happy 30th! Wish you were here!

Hey Josh,

SURPRISE!! This was the best thing I could think of to wish you a Happy Birthday!! I hope this brings you a few smiles, and that it's a great day for you!

We miss you and love you!

PS - Pause the music to listen to the videos!

There's probably more on the way, I was just worried you'd lose internet by Tuesday!
