Yes, I stay at home. Yes, I shop online, and Yes, after Josh was gone for four months and my camera mysteriously broke, (I swear it wasn't me) I bought the big one. Yes it's true, I'm guilty. I bought it. I asked for permission from my hubby, and he said yes. So I shopped for the best deal. Surprisingly I found it at QVC. That's right, QVC. They had EASY PAY!! I love it, it's like a layaway...except I got the camera right away. So, apparently the pictures have greatly improved and it can no longer go unnoticed (see comments).
I confess, my new love, and I'm not kidding, is my Canon Rebel XTi Digital SLR. There you go Cathy!! It's amazing. Now, I know the quality of the picture has A LOT to do with the camera. But I will put a disclaimer, that I in fact, practice and study photography. I have several books, I read online, I visit excellent photographers' websites, I confer with friends that have great talent, and I take pictures EVERY SINGLE day. I am NOT a professional, but I'm also not just a clicker. I'm probably somewhere between a novice and a professional. With that said. There it is. I confess. I love the camera, I bought it.
My dad would say this is a ridiculous way to spend that kind of money, he's probably right. But, to make him proud, I have been concocting ways to make it a tax write off. How does selling pictures on the ETSY website sound?? That means I would use the camera for a business purpose right? I'll be thinking about it.

AWESOME!! Its about time you fessed up! Very cool photo too! superstar! did I rat you out on a previous post? sorry if so.
WHAAAAAAT? A new camera? Well I, for one, never saw it coming! Congrats!
I'd say it was money well spent, a good investment. Maybe after you teach a RS class on Zumba, you can teach one on photography!
Yeah for you! I'm thinking I 'need' a new camera and now I know where to go. I'm no professional but maybe I can fake it with a better camera.
I still say it would have been easier to blame it on the kids, but that's just me ;)
Ahh..but a new camera is something i feel is justified!! Look at all the things it can do. I had NO guilt when we bought ours, a canon as well, three years ago! I'm telling you, i am going to burn for those towels...they may as well pass up someone to be CJ's first wife right now!!

Good for you. I say that it is well deserved. How can Josh even give you a "no" look or vibe when you have been super mom for how many years of your married life? I am sure he didn't even hesitate...really. I mean you do get the award for keeping your blog most updated. And I am pretty sure you are all caught up with your scrapbooks. Which by the way is mind boggling to me. I can't tell you how admirable that is. Well deserved!
Des, to be fair, i do NOT have a flylady house! :) Love ya!
