Memories...

Ok... I'm a totally copy cat... I've seen this on a couple of my friends blogs and I thought it would be fun to play... (I even copied this line from my friend MaryRuth)

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I have together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see what memories people have of you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

I would love to hear what you guys remember about me! Remember keep it clean. I have fully repented of all transgressions!

Yeah, I'm the first! Well, my very first memory of you was a YSA activity that all of us from Muncie came up to Ft. Wayne for and I was riding in Josh's car and we picked you up. You rode home with us, I think. I just remember also that you wanted to play country music and Evan Fetters and I were totally bored! Haha! I think we slept most of the way home! It's funny, I don't even remember the activity, just the car ride there and back! (This is if my memory recorded everything!)

ooh fun!! hm... Lets see... a memory with you....
I remember so many. good and bad. So lets see, a favorite would have to be when we learned how to jump rope together. We learned all those cool tricks, one of us jumping in and out of the rope and then the other. That was so fun. Maybe the next time we are in the same location we should try it out again!

Another fave would be when you lived with me and mom for awhile, you got engaged over the phone and you helped me stalk E.

Oooh and remember when we both worked at Kohls? That was funny. and we would page each other?

Oh then there was that time you slapped that boy in the face on the bus for calling me the B-word....

How about those family trips to Cedar Point when we wore matching jams?

good times.

Ok, so this isn't really one of mine, but it's one of Steve's, and he told me about it... Remember the time in CA when I was out of town, and Josh was out of town, and you and Steve were both invited to a friend's house for dinner. (I can't for the life of me remember their names!) They didn't mean for it to be, but it kinda felt like a blind date. It was awkward and funny at the same time.
Kinda like this comment...

One of the memories that I have of you is when we were in Monterey and Josh was already gone and you came over with your one baby at the time (and pregenat) and we sat around in my cul-de-sac and roasted marshmellows with all the nieghbors and people who passed by who wanted to stay.

I also remember that you painted your house in Monterey, and I was so scared for you (you know the way the army pounds into you head NO PAINTING) I thought you where going to get into so much trouble for breaking the rules! (I have since painted every rental house or apartment we have been in either on purpose or accident)

I have some good memories. If I had to pick one I would have to say when we attempted to run together. Ya, you pretty much almost killed me but hey...I forgive you! If you could only see me now:)

I remember when Mom and I went to see Les Mis and you were sitting in the row in front of us. I think maybe aunt Suzi was there too. Anyway, I think it was the first or second time I met you, and later mom said that if she knew you were going to be her daughter-in-law someday, she would've paid more attention.

I lived across the street - literally - from Lucy while she lived in Muncie. Josh was deployed to Iraq and she was taking care of Colson and newborn Hallie. I have a ton of great memories and there were some adventures. She was so strong to do what she did by herself.

One day she came over to my house a little frightened. She had purchased groceries that day, including a gallon of milk, and put her groceries away. She left the house for some activity. When she came back later to feed her family, the milk was gone! - not in the fridge where she had left it. Someone had been in her house! SCARY. Well, she summoned the police. An officer came to check out her place..... and found the milk in the cupboard!
[Don't you just hate it when you put the milk in the cupboard!]
Lucy was under a TON of stress that year. There were doctor's appointments, flooded basements, waiting for Josh to be online. You were a real trooper! Lucy managed to still send over a fabulous dinner for me when I had my baby - Nolan. We ran (I jogged), made homemade cards, went to the parks, boiled lobsters, and made great memories. I miss you Lucy...wish you were still living across the street from me. Love, Cathy

Oh Lucy,

Memories. . . Thursday night scapbook night. Need I say more? Okay, maybe one more. Doing design team at Great Scraps and doing a layout in one hour because we all had something that night... was it Enrichment? whatever, but there was stress involved. But we did it! :)

I remember meeting you at the PA scrapbook convention... The first thing that I loved about you was your dimples and your name!

If I remember correctly that was the show from hell... the power went out for hours and my volunteers didnt' show up!! So you helped me out by doing several extra shifts... you were such a blessing! And hopefully you were justly rewarded by getting to hang out with Lisa Bearnson!

I love that you have a blog and I can stay in touch!

I remember my first Thanksgiving meeting Drew's family and you were there with Josh and baby Coleson. I just remember thinking that you were so fun and it was nice to have someone a little rowdy around.
